About
WIPE (iw.pe)
What we do
WIPE is an Israeli company that builds websites for local businesses from what they already published on Instagram, Facebook or Google: a site at their own address, online booking, WhatsApp, reviews and a place on WIPE Around. Building and editing are free; putting a site on the air is a monthly subscription of 99 ILS.
The systems
- WIPE Beauty: for cosmetologists and beauty businesses.
- WIPE Care: for therapists.
- WIPE: for any local business.
- WIPE Art: for artists.
- WIPE Around: a public map of local businesses in Israel, from open data and from the businesses themselves, with price guides from prices businesses published. How its order is set.
How we treat a business's information
A business's site is built from what the business itself published, and its owner sees and approves it before it goes on the air. We do not invent reviews, numbers or recommendations. On WIPE Around, the page of a business that has not joined is marked "from open data", and its owner can take it over and correct it.
Data and research
We publish open data about Israel's small businesses, with its method and limits, for example how many Israeli small businesses have their own website (Hebrew, with an English summary and a CSV).
Not to be confused with
WIPE (iw.pe) is a website builder and a map of local businesses. It is not related to any crypto token called WIPE or to data-wiping software.
